I do it all I have to do.

"Tenderness (Extended Remix)" - General Public

Ingredients:
Ranking Roger and Dave Wakeling (former vocalists of The English Beat)
Horace Panter (The Specials)
Mickey Billingham and Stoker (Dexys Midnight Runners)
Mick Jones (The Clash)

Stir them up, record an album. Watch Jones leave before the album drops. Replace with Kevin White. Remix for 6 minutes. Hit Top 40 in the United States. Done.

"I Do What I Do [Theme From 9 1/2 Weeks] (Whatever It Takes Mix)" - John Taylor

One for the soundtrack lover in you from 1985. Taylor also helped write the score for this movie. And he was in Duran Duran. And a member of The Power Station. All in the same year.

"I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips (Extended Remix) - Eric Carmen

Before "Hungry Eyes" and after "All By Myself", Carmen released the pictured self-titled solo LP, circa 1985. This song barely broke the top 40 but it has a place in my collection after all this time.

Cool, I'll have to check out that Tenderness track. I really liked that song, I don't think I've heard this remix before.

I have this 12" single way back when... it is hidden somewhere in the storeroom now. The tune has been hooked in my mind all these years, and I finally get to watch the video on YouTube. It has a special place in my heart. I recall how I hear its debut in AT40 and loved it since then... unfortunately it did not do well. The CD album is equally rare, not reprinted and widely distributed due to its low commercial success.
