Wanna scream but you keep it all inside.

"Don't Mean Nothing (Extended Rock Mix)" - Richard Marx

#3 hit for Richard Marx from 1987 featuring then former Eagles Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit on background vocals and The Man, Joe Walsh on lead guitar. After he finally got a recording contract with EMI/Manhattan Records, Marx contacted his friend Fee Waybill of The Tubes and Fee pulled Walsh and Co. into the mix for the self-titled debut LP. It went on to sell 4 million copies and produced 3 other top-5 hits with the last, "Hold On To The Nights", hitting #1. He was nominated for a Grammy with this track for Best Rock Vocal Performance - Male in 1988. This is a terrific mix and far superior to the original in my opinion. TT: 6:17

Uncle Mike, you rule. :) Fun music and a love of The Young Ones? Well done, sir. Well done.

This is great! Thank you Uncle Mike. I am always curious about the extended mixes of rock tunes as I hardly get the chance to either own them (due to priority given to dance tunes and MADONNA!) and hearing them being played. More Richard Marx mixes please! THANK YOU SO MUCH! - chwee

-DJ Muppet: Thank you very kindly. I first watched "The Young Ones" on MTV in the 80's and I fell in love with it immediately just like "Monty Python's Flying Circus" when I saw it on PBS around the same time. You score points with me for your Muppet pic.
-Chwee: Funny you should mention the Marx mixes because I have been trying to get my hands on the extended remix of "Should've Known Better" for a while now. I always liked the 7" single mix of that song and am dying to hear the longer one. I'll get "Satisfied" on here soon. I feel like the rock remixes don't get enough exposure on 80's blogs so I'm trying to do my part. Thank you again.

Hello Uncle Mike - I see your point. More often than not, those extended remix versions of the 80s rock tunes are so listenable! Look at HEART's Never, YES' Owner Of A Lonely Heart, FLEETWOOD MAC's singles. I cannot wait for moooore rock mixes! THANK YOU.
